The US Periscop report has been officially confirmed only as the first step of breaking co-operation with the KSF due to the tax the Kosovo government has imposed on Serbia, as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The resistance to suspend the taxes has prompted the annulment of the visit of Commander of the Iowa National Guard, General Timothy Orr.
The president's office has confirmed today that Hashim Thaci has accepted an informative letter for the annulment of the general's visit, which was scheduled to occur on 16-18 February, on the 11th anniversary of Kosovo's declaration of independence.
“Yes, General Rama has sent a letter informing President Thaci that the US has cancelled General Orr's visit while considering several other measures. This step has reportedly been taken because of the non-continence of dialogue with Serbia”, has told Koha.net Ardian Arifaj, adviser to President Thaci, broadcast Periscopi.
Gen Tmanman Rama informed the KSF's supreme commander last Friday after the meeting that KSF commander had that day with the US military attaché, Major Christopher Connor, where it was announced to annul Major Orr's visit, and that the annulment was made as “the result of the expression of dissatisfaction against the decision the Kosovo Government has made for the tax.
The prime minister's office has not yet been declared. /Periscopi
