Prime Minister Haradinaj's calculations with the tax are likely for personal interests, even though from his own position, may claim he is defending Kosovo's interest. However, next week, the tax issue is expected to be resolved, according to continued US and EU requirements, the analyst, who was among the first to have proposed suspending the tax as a temporary measure not to undermine dialogue, has said.

In an interview given to the Metro Journal, political affairs connoisseur Marzezen Maliqi has said that if in the political spectrum Haradinaj does not have the majority supporting the tax, then he cannot claim that his view is that of protecting Kosovo's interest.

Haradinaj's calculations are personal likely, even though from the position he has he may claim to be defending Kosovo's interest, but for that he should have the support of other political subjects, even in the government that leads him, even with support votes from the opposition. This is the rule in democracy that brings down and established governments, Maliqi said.

In doing so, Maliqi says the executive leader is becoming not only averse to the United States, but also to other Kosovo leaders who have proposed the temporary suspension of the tax.

I believe they are majority and will overvote Haradinaj from the post of prime minister, Maliqi has said further.

Regarding the further sanctions the US has warned against Kosovo, Maliqi has said that those so far have been symbolic and have only affected Haradinaj.

But if the prime minister remains insistent, according to political affairs analyst, there may be other sanctions that do not hit him only, but can damage the unreserved support Kosovo has had from the United States since the last century's HINA90s.

Haradinaj was not granted a US visa. Then the visit of an American Army general was cancelled and was said to end co-operation with KSF, as Kosovo's newly formed army, including the supply of weapons, training, etc.

If the prime minister remains persistent, other sanctions that do not only strike Haradinaj can also be undermined by the support of Kosovo's non-responsives since the last century's 1990s, especially the key and irreplaceable role in stimulating and supporting independence, he has said.

However, Maliqi expects those days, later next week, to be resolved on the tax issue according to continued US and EU requirements.

He proposes that taxes be suspended only for Serbia, not for Bosnia and Herzegovina as well.

That, according to him, brings Sarajevo to trade with Kosovo is tougher than Serbia's.

I have followed a proposal that I believe most interesting even on Haradinaj's insistence, that the suspension of the tax be applied only to Serbia, meanwhile not to Bosnia and Herzegovina, because with Sarajevo we are not developing dialogue and its conduct in trade with Kosovo is more severe than Serbia's. With Sarajevo, negotiations for reciprocity could begin, rather than tax removal of 100 %.

I think Prime Minister Haradinaj would also help this kind of tax protection, which would also satisfy the concerned internationals for the success of the dialogue, Maliqi has said.

Asked that if Haradinaj falls, will there be early elections, the recognition of political issues, says it will not happen until there are some arguments.

No, the existing assembly is still in its mandate and must initially prove the creation of another party coalition, potentially more stable than the one with Haradinaj at the helm, initially held in power thanks to the Serbian List vote, and now the PSD vote. Only if the new mandate did not succeed in securing most of the votes (61+), then would the Parliament be dissolved and the new elections declared, he added.

On the other hand, according to Maliqi, elections are not an option because they would also prevent continued dialogue with Serbia and reaching the historic agreement between Kosovo and Serbia.

We remember that, two days ago, a letter has been issued that has been accepted by the country's three leaders -- Thaci, Haradinaj and Wessel -- sent by official Washington -- at the direct request that Kosovo institutions lift the 100% tax.

After the letter in question, heads of state have met twice, but without results
