Under “Investigations, but rapists” start preparing for the protest in Drenas
Following the news that investigator Vessel Wessel had sexually abused a minor from Drenas, civil society has also reacted, with whom two protests have been warned.
The first protest will be held tomorrow before the Kosovo Police, while the second protest will be held Friday in Drenas, Periscopi reports.
A group of activists in Pristina have held a meeting where preparations for protest have started.
They have also prepared placards for the protest in Drenas, in which it is written “Investigations, but rapers”.
Lendi Mustafa, one of the organisers, has said that through the protest, they are demanding that measures be taken against persons suspected of abusing 16 years old.
“Protesta has been organised by civil society in Drenas against rapists and associate physician. Our request is the immediate arrest of persons in question”, Mustafa said of Periscopi.
Meanwhile, protests in Drenas start at 12 and the Kosovo Women's Network in Pristina have provided free transportation for those who want to participate in the Drenas protest. /Periscopi/
