Many who suffer punishment speak by telephone, relatives, friends, lawyers, and even all the services they need. For all of this, for KosovaPress, there is a person who was once sentenced to prison because of drug smuggling, which he had done in prison himself.
During 2018, though, over 100 phones have been confiscated in the Dubrava prison alone.
For six years he had been standing behind bars because of smuggling from narcotic substances. Part of the sentence he suffered at the Dubrava prison, another in Lipjan and then in Smreconica.
And for this time of his imprisonment, he has much to confess. In an exclusive interview for Kosovo, he has told of smuggling done with banned and narcotics substances in Kosovo prisons. Under the condition of anonymity, it says that introducing them and using them, even though behind bars, is very easy. And for all this he blames the Guardians.

Security Affairs Director Nuredin Ibishi claims prison safety is not at the right level. And for such abuses he blames the Guardians himself.

That such cases are evident in Kosovo prisons, says Alban Muriqi from the Kosovar Centre for the rehabilitation of Torture Survivors.
He says that from the monitors they do in Kosovo prisons, this phenomenon is very pronounced in the Dubrava prison. Kosovo Police Media spokesperson Daut Hoxha has told about Kosova Prees, what are the actions they are taking after reporting these cases.
Currently, there are about 1650 prisoners in Kosovo prisons.
Chief of Security and Operation Task Officer Burim Buleskaj confirms that such cases of drug smuggling and phone use are evident in Kosovo prisons, adding that a large number of cases are in Dubrava prison.
Only during 2018 did he say that over 100 telephones were confiscated in Dubrava prison, and he claims to have no data.
All these phenomena, Burim Buleskaj, justifys them with the limited budget shared in this area that does not allow them to improve conditions.
