In Drenas it will march after the terrible case that happened in this municipality, which has shocked the entire country. An initiative for the march has been undertaken by civil society in Drenas, which calls for march on February 8th, starting at 12:00.
In calling for protest in Drenas, its organisers have also presented the completion of several points, which include “The Doctor's License and the closure of the clinic where illegal abortion took place,” The professor's departure from school”, etc., writes Periscope.
Here is a full call:
The case of exploitation and mistreatment of a 16-year-old girl by those supposed to be educated, protected and healed is the clearest indicator of the chain jam of Kosovo's basic state-building systems.
Mistreatment of this minor is a direct attack on all legal and moral principles, but above all, is the sowing of fear for all current students and new generations to come. Therefore, it is time now or never to stand up for the victim and make sure the guilty receive due punishment. This is the only form for our society to return to our institutions.
For this reason, we, the civil society of Drenas, will organise protests and seek justice to make room.
As a result, our demands are these:
1. Public oath by Police Commander in Drenas by 5 points.
2. Stopping the doctor's license and closing the clinic where the illegal abortion was performed.
3. The professor's departure from school.
4. More rigorous oversight by the school principal.
The 5 points that we're asking for public commitment from the Chief of Police Station are:
1. With the self-intensive I will ask the Police Inspectorate to conduct an investigation into the entire police station in Drenas for similar occasions. Depending on the findings, measures will be taken.
2. I'll arrange higher staff awareness training on gender equality, treatment of these cases and work ethics.
3. Through police in the community, I will organise awareness campaigns to raise citizens' trust in police.
4. I will work closely with civil society and youth organizations for the treatment of social concerns.
5. I'll make sure I implement it rigorously, Article 37, law 9 points No. 04/ L-076 P POLICIA.
