Ben's author dies walking by himself

Kicho Blushi was born in the city of Korca on August 23, 1943. After completing high studies on Albanian and Russian literature, he started working as an editor with Albanian Radio Television, and in 1974 he passes as an editor in Kinostudion “New Albania”

He is a protagonist writer of the generation of modernisation change in Albanian literature, representative prostheator and scriptwriter with a prominent role in the history of Albanian cinema.

In all, he has written 14 feature film scenarios and two documentary and cartoon film scenarios.

His first scenario was that of “Cift happy” in 1975 as coauthor. With the script of the film “Beni itself walked” in 1975, he was awarded the IIIst Class Republic Award.

Kicho Blushi has been a member of a quality citizen and intellectual personality who received and exercised public devotion and responsibility at key moments in the country's fortunes.

On February 20, 1991, he was called by President Ramiz Alia to attend the Presidential Council. From 1991 to 1996, he was deputy of Albania's Parliament for the Socialist Party.

Meanwhile, from 1997 to 2001 he has again been a deputy The SP, but because of the electoral system, was on PSD lists, as one of the smaller coalition parties.

Kico Blushi later became editor-in-chief of the renowned newspaper “Our Time” and when he ended this experience, he became a member of the board of directors of Albanian Radio Television.

Even after resigning from the post of chairman of the Albanian Public Television Steering Council, he remained in active politics. The prominent writer was a member of the Tirana Municipal Council from 2007 to 2015, as a representative of the Socialist Party.
