Mitrovica Mayor Agim Bahtiri has demanded that Sunday be a holiday for all.
That is how it has been made known through a media communiqué from the Mitrovica Information Office, where it is reportedly holding the next meeting of the Board of Directors.
At this meeting, director for Finance and Economic Development Shukri Gashi announced the executive in terms of the Labour Fair, which in Mitrovica will be held on 12 April 2019 in the sports hall “Minator”, where he said the fair would be organised in co-operation with the Ministry of Labour and Social Management, the Employment Agency of the Republic of Kosovo and the German Office for International Co-operation (GIZ) and on the part of the municipality will become all necessary preparations for a better organisation.
While Inspection Director Hysni Ahmeti announced the board is working on respecting the working hours of business subjects, in which case they have taken action to close down premises which do not respect working schedules under municipal rule No. 032014 and the closure of the fortune games that conduct their activities without license.
From this action, Inspection Director Hysni Ahmeti said that a total of 20 businesses, 3 megas of large brands, 2 drugstores, 15 bookies and 2 casinos were closed during the weekend. He has further said that this action will continue in the coming days until municipal regulation is implemented in force.
Finally Chairman Bahtiri has praised the work of Inspection Director Hysni Ahmeti, offering his full support for the municipality of Mitrovica to function with European rules where Sunday will be a day off for all.
