Mitrovica Mayor Agim Bahtiri, in addition to other activities in honour of Kosovo independence, has visited today the three remote Albanian villages of the Leposaviqi municipality, while declaring that the union of Mitrovica will happen this year.
He and his associates have been paying tribute to the grave of hero Kadri Bistrica in the village of Bistrica, where he has even placed the national and state flag, the KP reports.
“Today is a happy day for all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo and especially Mitrovica. We are doing busy activities for the day before us. We have not only stopped in Mitrovica, but we have gone all the way to Leposaviq honoring and respecting our hero, Kadri Bistrica. At the tomb of Kadri Bistrica we have placed the national but also state flag of the Republic of Kosovo”, Bahtiri said.
As for his initiative to unify the town of Mitrovica, he has reiterated his promise, very confident that such a thing will happen this year.
There are processes that need to go and I'm guaranteeing everyone whether someone wants it or not, but the city union will be where I was today, in those three villages of Kostunica, Bistrica and Ceraj... This will happen this year”,potencoi Bahtiri.
