The administration that is paid to deputy ministers even after the term ends

MPs from the Kosovo Assembly have passed an amendment proposed by the functional Commission that drafted the Public Sector Budget Bill, which “provides” deputy ministers even after their mandate ends.

With over 40 votes, MPs passed the amendment, which rewards the deputy ministers of the Government of Kosovo with transitional pay, reports Insander.

For this amendment, the Vetevendosje Movement demanded that it be removed because it was considered unfair. The party's MP, Albulen Haxhiu, said deputy ministers cannot be compared to the position of president, prime minister or deputies selected by the people”.

Currently in Kosovo Government, over 70 deputy ministers are appointed
