Northern Macedonia Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, after the meeting of “Mini-Shengen” in Tirana, said this initiative that has undertaken alongside Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq and Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic, is good for the entire region and will soon be vulnerable to citizens.
Zaev said he feels sad about the tragedy he left after the November 26th earthquake in Albania, and has urged all countries in the region to continue with assistance to affected areas.
I was impressed by the tragedy he left behind in Durres and I believe that help will ease the consequences. I call on you to continue to provide much needed assistance as an important segment of our regional co-operation”.
At the next meeting in Belgrade, our search-saving institutions must sign the co-operation protocol to show we are together. Our co-operation is producing results”.
Zaev said he hopes Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina will join this initiative.
The next meeting, as Montenegrin President Djukanovic said, will be in Montenegro, which I agree with. But we will be happy to continue in the future in Sarajevo and Pristina. And after the May elections, you will also be welcome in northern Macedonia”.
Zaev said he wants foreigners coming from other non-Balkan countries to enter one of the airports and not need to do checks in any Western Balkan state.
