It has been more than a week since Kosovo police have started interviewing 15 people in the case of Astrit Dehar's death.
Among those interviewed will also be former Kosovo Police Regional Commander Neddi Krasniqi, the others are detention centre guards in Prizren, as well as medical staff.
The Dehar family lawyer, Tom Gashi, told Online Economy that all respondents will be in witness quality.
“The special prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo has issued a warrant or a decision authorising the Kosovo Police to question over 15 witnesses that most of them are the same are a large guard of the Prizren detention centre, are the medical staff that has been at the detention centre in Prizren, and the innovation is that it will be questioned in the quality of the witness and former regional commander of the Kosovo Police, Nex Krasniqi, and according to the prosecution's decision they will decide after the collection of these as the following evidence that will continue in the case of the shooting of the Ahztri>, Gashi said.
But, the Special Prosecutor's decision, Gashi is calling it wrong, as according to him, the actions that were taken earlier are being repeated.
Gashi says a portion of these respondents should be in the quality of suspects in the Astrit Dehar case.
“I believe that the prosecution has completely incorrectly issued this decision since they are almost repeating the actions that were taken earlier, but now the difference is that the investigation is conducting Pristina's regional unit, the Directorate for Organised Crime, and are completely other investigators who are best investigators and are of their level of work, but I believe that at least some of them are interviewing in the quality of witnesses would have to be interviewed in the quality of the suspicious”, Gashi said.
Gashi said they are waiting to complete these investigations and then again make a request to the prosecutor issue a decision on the development of investigations, in contrast, says they will make a criminal statement.
If the prosecution didn't do it then we'll simply legally force it because we're going to present criminal rowing against all the responsible ones and there might be prosecutors or prosecutors who were involved earlier and then we're going to include investigators who are involved in the Astrit Dehar murder case, stressing in them a very short period of time perhaps after a few minutes of their alleged suicides and all the responsibilities that have led to this situation after three years, not to be identified in the case of a legal murder, Gashi.
According to Gashi, interviewing 15 people in the Astrit Dehar case should be completed by the end of December of this year or eventually by January 2020.
