30th Annual LDK Establishment
THE PROCHING OF THE LIGHT DEMOCRATIC COSOVE
(An authentic document presented at Kovned)
The deep social, economic, and political crisis in which we are now and how long before the multinational community opened up dilemmas surrounding its further existence. There are already many programmes and extensive projects that teach them to gain legitimacy in Yugoslavia. This variety of ideas, proposals, and programmes with clear political profiles best indicate that the fate of Yugoslavia is all concerned and preoccupied, and that its future can be guaranteed if to engage all its subjects, without being reserved for anyone to speak or decide on behalf of others. Yugoslavia should be understood as the interest of anyone living in it, so also of the Kosovo population, which preserves its right to freely decide on its own destiny.
The fact that the deep and comprehensive crisis that is burdening the country and that with more powerful and more serious consequences is being expressed in Kosovo requires radical transformations in the economic, social and political arena, that it can only be faced and overcome by the commitment and action of all the subjective and creative potential forces, and that this commitment is not possible in the framework of political monoism and one-party monopoly, we signed, took the initiative to establish:
The Democratic League of Kosovo,
As the Party for Social and Cultural Action of all those who approve the Democratic League of Kosovo programming orientation and its intensity.
1
Democratic League of Kosovo (in further text The LDK is committed to economic and social reforms aimed at getting out of the crisis as fast as possible, which could become with the country's fastest economic development. To that end, the LDK engages in market economies, different property forms, modern markets and the exclusion of incompetential policy interventions in economic issues (from excessive investment orientation to the appointment of the governing framework in the economy), which had and has harmful consequences.
Kosovo, in spite of its human and natural potential, is the economically outdated and with greater unemployment. Economic growth and unemployment are permanent forms of crisis. The LDK estimates that precisely economic setbacks and unemployment are Kosovo's main problems and tries to cope with them. The LDK tries to stimulate investment initiatives and commitments, rationalisation and modernisation of production, reconstruction and production orientation, and not bankruptcy and hasty extinction of economic organisations; engages in the equal right of everyone at work dealt with skills; engages against privileges in this leave regional, national and other basis.
The LDK engages in the exploitation of all potential and internal opportunities for Kosovo's economic development; engages in social policy, as it does in all modern states; and engages in solidarity of the developed against the underdeveloped.
2
The LDK engages in democratic, federal Yugoslavia and political system reform in this direction.
The LDK engages in democracy that will ensure the full equality of the law and political equality of citizens, the individual, his dignity and his property regardless of national, gender or religious affiliation; engage in the judicial state, which respects the constitution and the law, and excludes political and governmental arbitrate.
The LDK engages in political pluralism that expresses different structures and interests and enables the race of different political concessions;
The LDK engages in the multiparty system; engages in full protection and expansion of human and citizen freedoms; engages in the right to thought and free speech, freedom of speech, press and political organisation; engage in the removal of any hidden censorship; engage in independent trials and exclusion of individual dependence, prosecution and political punishment of judges.
The LDK engages in the development of democratic reports in the Federation, meaning the Federation as community of equal subjects, as communities of citizens and equal nations. So it's about a modern federation, which will enable the equality of nationals and republics and provinces in the parliamentary system on the basis of free voting rights.
The LDK will commit itself to a democratic society, given the best tradition of human civilization.
The LDK will commit itself to expanding the institutional democratic channels, towards renewed affirmation and further affirmation of Kosovo's individuality and its constitutional position as an equal entity of the federation.
The LDK engages in affirmation of the social, political and cultural subjectivity of Albanians and their right to, in accordance with the people with whom they live together, exploit forms of political and legal framework that would affirm their equality.
3
Aware of the fact that the co-operation, understanding, friendship and solidarity of the peoples are the result and the most important fruits of civilization, while disputes and hostilities are a great disaster, the LDK will be firmly committed to developing friendship and the overall co-operation of all peoples in Kosovo, in Yugoslavia and the world.
Total equality also constitutes the central prerequisite of friendship and the cooperation of peoples. Therefore, the LDK strives for full national equality in Yugoslavia and Kosovo. It will work for affirmation that Kosovo is of all those living in it:
-that Albanians, Serbs, Montenegrins, Turks and others historically and currently have Kosovo and should jointly develop and progress;
-that life in friendship is the basis of the welfare and happiness of peoples;
-that the vastness of cultures and traditions, correctly understood, is wealth;
-that the co-operation and friendship of peoples are inseparable without knowledge, understanding and respect of culture and traditions, of beings and of each other's interests.
The LDK will fight against any position or view of inequality. She's on her own.
-against any national privileges or discrimination;
-as the concepts of autochthon and extant peoples and peoples of random and marginal presence;
-against chauvinism and hegemonism;
- against nationalist and bureaucratic manipulations with the national issue.
The LDK struggles for full equality of nationalities in Yugoslavia. It is engaged in the overall cultural development of all, full education in the mother tongue on all levels of schooling; engaged in preserving the position and moral and material dignity of the school; cultivating its native language and equality in public communication and administration; engaged in the free and equal cultivation of cultural, historical traditions; and the free use of national symbols and the dignified observance of national holidays; for the right and the possibility of every people exploiting the positive results of its cultural creativity; and wherever spiritual they are created.
In this direction, institutions dealing with the study and cultivation of culture, tradition and free expression of national individuality of all in Kosovo and Yugoslavia need to be developed further.
4
The LDK strives for the truth about Kosovo, fighting dezinforms and slanders, against efforts to bring Kosovo's current issues forward and only talk about disqualified terms, without seeing them in their entirety and complexity. The LDK opposes reconstructions and reconstruction as a solution to the problems, is against imposing whyudovalues to close the real problems, against state and extraordinary measures, against isolation and against political processes, and committed to the release of political prisoners. It is therefore engaged in constructive dialogue and mutual consensus and against the qualifications and labels of any thought or request, which differ from that of a party.
5
The LDK will be engaged in preserving the environment of nature and natural resources. No generation has the right to exploit what is due to other generations without consent.
In Pristina,
On December 23, 1989.

* This document, based on academic suggestions Gazmend Zaym, Professor Fehmi Agani and Air Begg, was presented at the Founding Assembly, adopted unanimously by those present. The authentic document found in the author's personal archive, along with others from the establishment, presented in the book “Historical QN” 1, is important because immediately after approval, in the opinion, he submitted to numerous attempts to counterfeit. Such counterfeitings, which were then distributed under the LDK firm, were held in Germany and Switzerland, on which they relied heavily on party slander and its program, with the word “barazi in the federation” being replaced by “authonomi”!
