A SHAK marks 44th anniversary of the establishment

The Kosovo Academy of Sciences and Arts was founded in 1975, originally like the Kosovo Association of Sciences and Arts, and in 1978 it is transformed into the Academy.
The association was transformed into the Kosovo Academy of Sciences and Arts through the Law on the Founding of the Kosovo Academy of Sciences and Arts issued by the Kosovo Assembly of April 18th 1978.
At first, her event A SHAK had to develop at a co-ordination with the growing university, within which were institutions of scientific cores and researchers at the Faculty of Philosophy, later on of Natural Sciences, at the Faculty of Medicine, at the Technical Faculty, at the Faculty of EcoKÉnoymic Faculty, at the Faculty of Philosophy, with the institutes of Povaçura from University and Academy Albanology, the Institute of History, the Hydromeekology Institute, then institutes that operated on the industrial capacity of Kosovo, the Institute of Technology that operated in the Centre <x1), the Institute of Evolution Institutes, the Institute of Evolution Institutes, the Institutes of Medicine, and other Institutes of Medicines of Medicine, and Culture Interests in the Institutes, and Arts.

In 1985 A Convention SHAK decided on the establishment of the Academy of Archaeology and Ethnography Archive. Archive and Library, which had been functional, were destroyed after the Serbian police intervention at the Academy headquarters in 1994, which prevented her further work in that building.
The Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography failed to be founded because of political and tender pressures towards the collapse of the Academy after 1985 and for budgetary reasons later.
Since discussions on the 1989 constitutional changes, A Assembly The SHAK first emerged with public commitments with the Constitutional Declaration, then with commitments and other activities in favour of protecting the rights that were drastically violated.
Besides engagement along with other resistance mechanisms in the direction of the referendum organisation for independence, in terms of organising and drafting fundamental documents for Kosovo's declaration of independence.
