Fabjan Alkam, 21, from New York, of Albanian descent, was sentenced to about five years in prison after admitting guilt for false statements before FBI officials regarding his plan to join the Islamic State and avenge the attacks on New Zealand.
The verdict on his sentence was made Friday by a court in Missouri, while the young man was sentenced exactly to four years and nine months in prison.
He was first interviewed by authorities in the past year, while later published terrorism - related comments.
The convicted person was traveling by bus on March 15th, when he told an informant that he would attack ordinary people to avenge the attacks on two New Zealand mosques, writes “New York Times”
