Fifteen-year-olds who submitted to the Kosovo school system proved very weak in science, mathematics and reading. We were so weak that we remained under highly underdeveloped countries.

However, we remember that during the beginning of this year, the 30 percent increase wage bill was passed on to all categories of teachers in our school system. Niteman Jasharaj, chairman of the Teachers' Union, gave up nothing. Even the hours lost in salary increases did not compensate, thus embarrassing the prime minister of the day, Mr. Ramush Haradinaj.

But how much is paid for our teachers?

From the new wage structure, which the SBASK, professors, legislations, educators, primary and high school directors, deputy directors will receive very high salaries compared to the minimum wage in the country.

While a Kosovo youth may be paid only 130 euros per month, his teacher in Middle School receives 788 euros. And his teacher at School started 621 euros. And let's not talk about the regular professor at public universities who gets 1720 euros, without counting here additional fees for every one of the exams held, any habit of working diplomas and extra commitments at private universities.

Contacted by Periscope, Mr. Rhetman Jasharaj, SBASAK chairman has blamed P's failure ISA, curriculum prepared by the ministry and not teachers. Furthermore, he also mentioned the X-ray <x0.0shum of”, rather than their absence to blame for this outcome.

“Conditions in schools still [lack], most schools... [have no] foam and soles, when we collect all of this then we would have made a national educational platform so that we don't have such a situation”- he said. /Periscope
