Mustafa has said Albin Kurti's message had to address the LDK first, while according to him, negotiations have not failed, but the Vetevendosje strategy has failed.
The LDK chief has stressed that they are for negotiations, citing ignoring the rules from the VV we agreed on.
Here's the full reaction;
Citizens of Kosovo, on 6 October, through their vote, have given us confidence to change things for the better.
The LDK and I, despite the many reasons related to our VV reports in the past, have sat at the table and negotiated.
In this process, we have cared for and managed to impose recognition of Kosovo's processes and attributes on independent and sovereign state, its strategic Euro-Atlantic definition, including the model of the market's social economy, as Kosovo's strategic and developmental definition.
Negotiations have not been easy, and the partner at the table, the Vetevendosje Movement, in some cases has ignored the rules we agreed on.
I've seen the VV before tonight with a video message from the Chairman of Vetevendosje, Mr. Albin Kurti.
For the LDK and for me, negotiations have not failed.
Vetevendosje's strategy to secure the principle and genomic side to the public has failed in negotiations and to blame the LDK.
None of our demands can and should not be addressed as a request to Vetevendosje, because Vetevendosje has not won all the responsibilities, it has won about 1/4 of the vote, and not more, and almost that much the LDK has earned. Therefore, our demands have consisted and will consist of balanced division of responsibilities, confirming the outcome of the October 6th election.
Mandatin on 6 October, for an MP more than LDK, the Vetevendosje Movement, has taken it away. PAN not to challenge LDK.
The LDK and I will continue to work to make the change required by Kosovo citizens on 6 October. Of course, not by ignoring efforts to leave the LDK guilty of ambitions beyond the civic legitimacy of the Vetevendosje Movement.
Today's video message, Albin Kurti and Vetevendosje, before addressing citizens, had to tell us the LDK, since they consider us partners.
However, the message is clear to us in the LDK, but I also believe the citizens of Kosovo.
Unlike their public statements, Vetevendosje indicated tonight that it is ready to pledge to support the candidate proposed by the LDK for Kosovo President, only that it requires more of his own in the government. This is not a principle, but an effort to get more.
We think that the balanced division of responsibilities, the reform result of the elections, results in this formula, the Speaker of the Parliament, the president, when it remains a free position, and half of the government must meet the LDK, if Vetevendosje wants the LDK's support to trust that executive direction and half the Government.
Otherwise, the agreement would be unbalananized and would not ensure government stability, nor democratic functioning of key institutions.
Vetevendosje has begun to understand this and I hope that in the coming days, we will sit down and define all aspects.
The right and constitutional obligation belongs to the eye, as well as the responsibility to find solutions and build new institutions.
We're ready for negotiations.
