A Year With the Ministry of Justice

23/01/2019: Kosovo's Board of Agenda “Justice 2020”, composed of Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri, Kosovo Judiciary Council Chief Chairman Nehat Idrizi, Chief Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council Bahri Hyseni, and with the participation of EULEX Ambassador Alexander Papadopoulos, chief of the political sector, economic and European integration into the EU Office, Riccardo Serry, US Deputy Political Office and Economics Ambassador to Pristina, have set the priorities of the first quarter of the year, with <2x> to end the country's judicial system in transition.

01/02/2019: Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri disagrees and refuses proposals for the salaries of judges and prosecutors, whom the Commission for Public Administration, Local Governance and Media, of the Republic of Kosovo, had made through the draft Law on the Salaries.

21/02/2019: The Ministry of Justice, supported by the EU Project, keeps a worker in the framework of the Functional Review Process for Law Rule Sector, the second phase where implementation of this process continues.

21/02/2019: Minister Abelard Tahiri at meeting with U Mission Director AID in Kosovo, Mr. Lisa Magno proposes establishing a Commercial Court.

06/02/2019: Qualified Law Management System (SMIL).

14/03/2019: A memorandum is signed between the Ministry of Justice, Labour and Social Management, the Kosovo Judiciary Council, the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, as well as the Kosovo Police for identifying cases of domestic violence within the framework of the MD project for fighting this phenomenon launched at the start of the mandate of Minister Tahiri.

14/03/2019 Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri, after publishing the report by the US Department of State on Human Rights in Kosovo (2018), once again expresses commitment to addressing the found and exercising his position in order to exercise efficiency, stability and respect for human rights.

11/04/2019: Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri, and his Italian counterpart, Alfonso Bonafide, sign in Rome the Agreement on the Transfer of Sentenced Persons between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Italy.

17/04/2019: The Morning Board “Justice 2020”, reports Minister Tahiri that the initial measures for the first three months have been implemented with full efficiency.

20/04/2019: Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri, at the media conference, reports the media and citizens of the Republic of Kosovo for the operation conducted in the early hours of the morning of that day through which the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, with the help of the United States of America, has returned 110 Kosovo citizens who have been to war centres in Syria. He says for children this is a second chance for life, and the suspects will be brought to justice.

27/04/2019:  Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri on the Day for Missing Persons says Vuciq is protecting and hiding war criminals and once again asking the state of Serbia to open his archives and tell of the fate of the missing from the recent war in Kosovo.

30/04/2019: Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri, accompanied by the National Coordinator Against Distremism of Violence and Terrorism, Fatos Makolli, announces EU ambassadors for Kosovo's fight against the patrol and relies on the success achieved in returning 110 citizens from Syria.

17/05/2019: Minister Abelard Tahiri at a meeting with Croatia's Constitutional Court chief Miroslav ãoparović provides Croatia's assistance to Kosovo in closing chapters 23 and 24 as the process of EU integration.

24/05/2019: The Ministry of Justice is threatened by strangers. Minister Tahiri is demanding that those responsible be brought to justice as soon as possible.

30/05/2019: The European Commission's country report on law-rule policies positively evaluates strengthening the justice sector in Kosovo.

13/06/2019: The protocol for the Extradition Agreement is signed between Kosovo and the US.

09/07/2019:  The Commercial Court begins founding in September: Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri meets representatives of the U Programme US for Commercial Justice, with which he has discussed concrete steps that enable the realisation of one of the major capital projects of the justice system, the establishment of the Commercial Court.

12/07/2019: The decision to launch the process of recruiting swimmers becomes known.

31/07/2019: Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri addresses Northern Macedonia Justice Minister Renata Deskoska, from whom he has sought the release of Tomor Morina and urges Serbia to stop the persecution policy.

05/08/2019: It guarantees the leaders of the Presevo Valley for support and rule of law there.

09/08/2019: State Attorney General Sami Istrefi meets with the head of the GIZ Legal Reform and Administration Project, Karl Weber, with whom they signed the agreement to fund a timely lawyer who will deal primarily with the representation of subjects in court, in the field, respectively, with special emphasis on the Environmental Inspectorate.

13/08/2019: Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri at a meeting with U.D. EULEX chief Bernd Thran confirms the fight against crime and corruption and the seizure of assets acquired with criminal activities.

23/08/2019: Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri, through this statement to the media, announced the completion and submission of the file for International Linebook for Milan Radojcic, suspected of killing Kosovo politician Oliver Ivanovic.

30/08/2019: Minister Tahiri urges the EU pressure for Serbia to be found.

04/09/2019: Minister Tahiri comes in support of the Anti-Corruption Pact initiated by Kadri Veselini and urges political parties and politicians to support him.

06/09/2019: Minister Tahiri appeals not to be included on election lists persons with charges.

14/10/2019: Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri declares that the appointment of new swimmers will receive a legitimate epilog in full harmony with the law and in full partnership with the Oden of the Notters of the Republic of Kosovo.

08/11/2019: Minister Tahiri attends the EU Forum with the Western Balkans.

While December 7th Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri has participated in the 9th Annual Conference of the Kosovo Judiciary”, with what he has said rule of law is the subject of national character exceeding its policy and everydayity.
