The Vetevendosje movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo, following a long process of talks, have agreed on the way the ministries will be shared in the future government coalition. The two parties since the 6 October elections came out the winner and, in a much faster and less troubled process, have learned about the programme, have also managed to split government positions.
Although, following the failure of recent meetings, news has surfaced in the media that the silence between the VV and LDK had been broken in the latter's demands for the president's post and the interior ministry, both have been accommodated within agreement.
In the agreement reached, which Clan Kosova has secured, the Ministry of Finance, the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning belong to the Vetevendosje Movement.
While, the Interior Ministry, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Science and Technology will be led by ministers of the Democratic League of Kosovo.
As has usually happened in agreements on government making in Kosovo, the Ministry of Return belongs to the Serb minority, while amazingly even because the LDK had once led this ministry, even in the fact that the VV had part of its political heritage over time has been decided to meet other minorities.
The agreement between the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo has also been reached for the post of Kosovo Assembly Chairman, who will meet the Democratic League of Kosovo, which will trust Vjosa Osmani.
And, although it was the most controversial issue and one of the reasons that the other side once again warned that it could break the whole deal, for the post of president of the two parties have agreed to agree after a year.
This agreement paves the way for the finalisation of co-operation between the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo in the next government, as well as facilitates the Kosovo Parliament's constitutional session, called by President Hashim Thaci on December 24th of this year.
