(6 years ago)Hundreds of farmers today protested the Dutch government's environmental regulation, blocking roads on the border with Germany with tractors. The Dutch news agency ANP reported that demonstrations blocked the border checkpoint between the town of Korevoden, in the province of Drenth and Down Below Saxony. The largest demonstration in the Netherlands attracted hundreds of farmers to the town of Hilversum, near Amsterdam. [...]
The Dutch news agency ANP reported that demonstrations blocked the border checkpoint between the town of Korevoden, in the province of Drenth and Down Below Saxony.
The largest demonstration in the Netherlands attracted hundreds of farmers to the town of Hilversum, near Amsterdam.
ANP reported that the protest was joined by about 100 farmers from Germany.
The reason for the protest is that farmers are unfairly influenced by government efforts to reduce nitrogen emissions.
