Recent days negotiations concerning the division of responsibilities are taking longer than the programming and sectoral part has taken. We believe that by conversation they will take every opportunity to find a common way of building the government for change.
So has stated in a brief interview for Periscope LDK deputy chairman Lutfi Haziri.
Haziri says how the LDK is trying to find a name that would be consensual president who would represent interests in the spirit of the Constitution.
Says that despite the major ideological differences they have with Vetevendosje, the LDK is working on building unconditional relations.
While saying the two potential governing partners are still working on what the body will look like in the government.
Total interview:
Periscope: What are the chances of reaching the LDK-VVV agreement?
Lutfi Haziri: We are working on a daily basis for reaching the agreement, following the outcome of the October 6th elections. He has mutual will and commitment. Recent days negotiations concerning the division of responsibilities are taking longer than the programming and sectoral part has taken. We believe that by conversation they will take every opportunity to find a common way of building the government for change.
Periscope: Kurti has declared that she cannot give LDK more than the people have given, how do you answer?
Lutfi Haziri: Even the LDK doesn't want any more than it's got citizen confidence. Beyond that, we have set the standard that the first party, even by one vote, will have the prime minister. While, the role of the LDK in governance will be according to the weight of the civic vote.
Periscope: Albin Kurti said you have a fanatical character for president, does the LDK have a name for this post?
Lutfi Haziri: We are jointly trying to find the mode of a consensual president who will in the future represent interests in the spirit of the Republic Constitution. The last few days are working hard so that partners' role and responsibility in state institutions, such as the Presidency, the Parliament, Government and Executive Sectors, are not clearly defined so as not to be allowed eventual durability and disagreement during the exercise of coalition mandate in the future.
Periscope: Is it true that the Ministry of Culture will be given to minorities?
Lutfi Haziri: It is a question that is being discussed within the way and form of division and reshuffle will be issues partners will decide what the government will look like in the structure.
Periscope: Do you think President Thaci has given you enough time to reach the VV agreement?
Lutfi Haziri: First, political parties have received consultations from the president. I believe that setting the date of the extraordinary session unilaterally has been surprising, even to the LDK, and to other parties, I believe. All of this is within the legal deadline and of course we're trying to confront the differences so that you can reach an agreement.
Periscope: If the VV does not release for the presidential post, is there another option that the LDK could offer to reach the deal?
Lutfi Haziri: We're not working on conditional relationships. We're working on partnership relations. I strongly believe that this logic of work will help overcome differences. Of course, we distinguish as political parties because we are two different ideologies. But, being the opposition and being the most voted, we are responsible to the citizens. With that sense we are working to reach a common agreement.
