The Biblical House of the Ark of the Testament has been discovered at a 3,000-year-old temple in Israel that archaeologists believe was deliberately introduced to animal dung by the Philistines.

The Bible claim was made by researchers from Tel Aviv University who found a 3,100-year-old temple near today's town of Beit Shemesh.

Religious teachings claim that the Ark contained the Ten Commandments that Moses received at Mount Sinai.

They also preach that the Ark was based on a square table, and this recent find is seen as a fusion of Bible teachings with archaeological evidence.

Archaeologists say it is extremely similar to the great mythic symbol described in the Book of First Samuel.

He was used to carry the Ark after arriving at Beth Shemesh when he returned to Israel's hand from the Philistines.

Excavations of the temple of the 20th century B.C.E. reveal that then were looted and “deliberately destroyed” by nearby Philistines that transformed it into an animal heap.

Academics researching the find believe that 1,100 years between the time of Jesus, Moses, and the Ark is evidence of Bible history dating from earlier experts.

It is believed that the 12th century BC building is a temple because it was separated from most buildings, had stronger walls, and was confronted by the rising sun.

Speculations go further, saying that two round stones of carved glass may have been used to create holy wine from olives.

Fractions of animal bones, ceramics, and cups indicate that rituals are performed here.

There is a lot of evidence that this was really a temple,” said Professor Shlomo Bunimovitz, the archaeologist who runs the dig.

The relic was 8.5m long on each side and perfectly square.

When you look at its structure and content, it's very clear that this is not a standard home space, but something special,” Professor Bunimovitz added.

The holy place of worship was looted and destroyed in the middle of the 12th century BC and covered with animal refuse.

Very soon after it was destroyed, the whole country became an animal nut,” says Zvi Lederman, an archaeologist at Tel Aviv University who ran the project.

For me this is an act of hostility, a deliberate desecration of a holy place”.

There is no evidence linking the nearby Philistines to whose solution Tel Batash was only sevenkm away as the culprits of destruction, but researchers believe they are the main candidates, according to their interview with the Israeli newspaper Harartz.

Beth Shemesh was a pre-monarchic border city between the Israelites and the Philistines.

Often it was a point of conflict and conflict between religious factions that fight.

The reason for such hostility may be the alleged sign found deep inside the temple.

Last summer, six years after excavations started at home, square tiles were found lying on two smaller rocks.

The mythic “Guri described in the First Samuel Book was used to hold the Ark after it arrived at Beth Shemesh when it was exhumed by the Philistines”, says Lederman.

According to First Samuel: Now the inhabitants of Beth Shemesh reaped grain in the valley; and they lifted up their eyes, and saw the ark, and rejoiced to see it. Then came the chariot into the field of Joshua the Beth Shemesh, and stood there; and there was a great stone. And the Levites went down the ark of the LORD, and the breast that was with him, with the articles of gold, and laid them upon the great stone. Massebah was standing on stone used as part of the rituals of cult”.

According to the first book of Samuel, the inhabitants of Beth Shemesh entered the Ark and were struck by God's enlightenment as a form of punishment. The Ark was then sent to King David in Jerusalem on a ship through Kiriath Yearim.

The concept that this find is really part of the story of the Ark of the Testament has been questioned.

First, the Bible says that the table was in a field rather than in a temple. Second, history was not written until the first century BC centuries later.

Tel Aviv University archaeologist Israel Finkelstein has also led other excavations in search of the Ark.

He doubts the latest finding and the fact that 400 years passed without writing.

The “Relation for the Ark describes realities from the 8th century B.C.E. It's hard to assume that a memory from the 12th century B.C.E. preserved until the 5th century III saw no tradition of continuous writing”, says Israel Finkelstein.

But Avraham Faust, a professor of archaeology at Bar-Ilan University, warns that the value of finding may not stand in its literary existence, but what it means to traditions.

Of course, history was written much later, but this discovery can support the theory that there are some very early traditions that entered the Bible. This is a visible stone, placed in a visible position within what looks like a temple at the right kind of time, so there are many points that can connect this find to an old tradition that may have found its way into the Bible account”, says Faust.

I don't know if they're right or wrong, but I think they should be carefully examined,” he adds.
