The new research published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology examined the potential effects of the chili peppers compared to the overall figure of mortality, deaths. It revealed that people who had eaten the burning had less danger of dying.
For the study, researchers also compared the risk of premature death to over 23 thousand people who were 35 years old and lived in Italy, where pepper chili is a common ingredient. Some of the participants ate chili, and some did not. Researchers then monitored the health status and eating habits of each person in an eight-year period, writes Salon, translates Periscopi.
At the end of the study, data revealed that regular eating of hot peppers was linked to the slightest general risk of death from major medical problems such as heart attack.
Researchers found that those who ate hot food at least four times a week were 40 percent less likely to experience heart attacks than those who ate rarely or ate nothing.
