They were suspected of participating in foreign wars or organization of terrorist groups in the civil war in Syria.
For many of them, the actual evidence still exists, including females.
They were suspected that at the urgings of their husbands, they had gone to the time of conflict in Syria, even having children.
Returners from Syria, the most arrived in Kosovo, were sent to the asylum centre in the village of Vranidol, which is located on the outskirts of Pristina.
What remained the problem for a long time was that it was the reintegration or resociation of these children in society, or the age groups they met.
According to Kosovo Police General Director Rashit Qalajt, 107 people returned only in April of this year.
Among these persons, 32 of them were women and 72 of them were children as well as four men, where the latter were immediately detained by the Kosovo Police, at the order of the Prosecutor, where, according to this body, these persons were considered high-risk persons.
In the daily State Prosecutor reports, charges filed for persons with such criminal acts still continue to come.
In September of this year, a preson was arrested for four years after the same prosecution allegedly had previously been on the run to Istanbul, then headed towards Syria, with the goal of joining the known terrorist group “ISIS”
At the decision of the Constitutional Court in Pristina, Agon Misini was arrested for four years in prison.
Agon Misini on 26 July 2017 was arrested by Kurdish forces, where he was later repatriated to Kosovo.
The route of Kosovars to the conflict area in Syria had begun since 2012, until the total number of those who joined this war, according to the Ministry of Justice, was 300.
Some were killed a few days after their arrival, and others were able to rise in the hierarchy of this organization. Among them were cacanics Lavdrim Muharnier and Gilanasy Ridvan Haqif, who also lost their lives in the conflict area.
In a response to IndexOnline, Kosovo Police say that about 359 people had travelled to the Syria-Iraq conflict areas.
Police show that among these people who were on their way to becoming part of terrorist groups there are 50 women, while 50 children are on the way.
Until, on the other hand, with the goal of joining these conflict areas, 257 males had left Kosovo and had travelled to Syria.
Kosovo police, confirms to Index Online, that another 100 Kosovars are still found in these areas, Syria-Iraq.
Kosovo has drafted a law in 2015, with which every person participating in foreign wars will be sentenced to up to 15 years in prison.
