Violence on Women Increases in Italy

Violence against women in 2018 in Italy has increased, marking 142 women killed, says the report on gender violence in Italy, presented by the group of experts at “Eures”.

The report says the number of murdered women has never been higher, rising for 40.3%.

Jealousy and the sense of ownership are still the most common motives, which constitute 32.8% of the cases.

The successive Italian governments have launched numerous campaigns against violence against women. However, the phenomenon seems difficult to control. / A T S/
