World Urban Day is marked

World Urbanization Day, also known as World City Planning Day, was first marked in 1949 at the University of Buenos Aires in order to increase public and professional interest in planning.

Every November 8th, this date is marked in more than 30 states on four continents.

World City Planning Day is an important day for any citizen of the world who wants more functional cities, more urban neighborhoods, protected and more carefully managed environments, higher civic responsibility.
