The train has hit a 29-year-old from Kosovo to death.
M.D. was working on the railway at a time when an international train was coming from Delemont to Basel, Swiss media report.
The circumstances of the accident have not been disclosed, but are being investigated by police and Prosecution in Switzerland.
At the moment of the accident, the co-workers of the deceased were working in another country.
Currently, the work being carried out on the railway has been suspended.
