Serbia's Trade Minister Rasim Ljajic has talked about the losses Serbia has suffered within the 1st anniversary of Kosovo's tax settlement.
Serbia's Trade Minister Rasim Ljajic has declared that in the past year, since Kosovo imposed the tax on Serbian goods, fewer goods worth 395.7m euros have been transported to Kosovo.
He also added that the biggest damage is that hardly that commodity will return to the Kosovo market even after the tax is lifted.
Ljajik in statements given to Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) has said that the biggest losses due to the tax during the period from November 21st to November 21st today have been experienced by Nis, Zelezari and Smedereva, news broadcasts.net.
According to him, in Kosovo there are no more food goods from central Serbia, at the same time twice as much supply has increased from Greece, Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia and Slovenia, while 5 per cent from Macedonia.
Ljajic has said that losers are also buyers in Kosovo because they now pay more dearly for the goods that come your way as a replacement.
In the question of “Mini Schengenit” and if Kosovo can be included, he has said the idea is to reach agreement with any state separately, broadcast news.
This is the idea of three states, but it is open to other economies from the Western Balkans, so for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and for Kosovo”, Ljajic has said.
According to him, expectations were that all would be in favour of this idea, but Kosovo does not want to be part of it. This is not political advice, but there is economic logic”, Ljajic said.
As he has said, buyers will have cheaper goods due to greater competition, more easily put to labor power and have larger savings in transport expenditures because the longer time is spent during border wait.
