Salaries growing in public sector late next month

Acting Finance Minister Bedri Hamza's adviser, Lulzim Rafuna, told RTKli that the rise pay of December 2-3 days before December 31st, the New Year's holiday. According to him, there will be no wage problems.

In 10 days, he feels that everything will be understood correctly. The total amount will be correctly known within 10 days, but there will be no problems”, he said.

For the possibility that the 2020 budget will not be approved, Finance Minister Lulzim Rafuna's adviser to Finance Minister Lulzim Rafuna suggested that by March 2020 everything could work.

“From April, no payment can be made, or salary, or anything else, except external debt”, he said.

The number of workers paid from Kosovo's budget is around 82 thousand and the average public sector salary, according to data from the Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK) for 2018 was 573 euros. And in the private sector, which accounts for about 250 thousand workers, 410 euros is the average salary.
