The Albanian prime minister at the open meeting of the Albanian government said November 28th-29th will not be holiday days, but solidarity day for earthquake victims.
“I think to be seen as two days of national solidarity, where respect for the past they embody with anyone's contribution that could help”, Rama said.
Later, Rama confirmed that today the decision on the day of national mourning is expected to be adopted and explained why he did not declare 3 days of mourning.
“Today, the government will approve the decision on the day of national mourning. Here I want to explain that this day because before two days of national holidays, it made it impossible to be more than a day of mourning, because we wish it were three days of mourning. We have been unable to imagine the Albanian flag in the half-strike on November 28th and 29th, as is a confirmed norm that never in national days of countries could be mourning. Because it's days they have within a memory of the lives given to the homeland”, Rama said.
According to him, the two most important 28-29 days November cannot be days with festive content.
“I think to be seen as two days of national solidarity, where respect for the past they embody with anyone's contribution that could help”, Rama said.
