“Islam and Orthodoxism, as well as other religions, are based on humanistic values and on the mercy of love towards human beings, in respect and justice for human beings”, Putin said at this conference, which was meant to promote interethnic and interreligious dialogue between Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
The Russian president added it is very important to preserve ties between the two countries and for future generations and strengthen the role of religious organisations in protecting and promoting spiritual, moral and family values.
