LDK Deputy Chairman Vjosa Osmani has paid an official visit to Brussels at the invitation of the Commissioner for Enlargement, Johannes Hahn. In addition to meeting with Commissioner Hahn, she also held meetings in the European Parliament, where she was hosted by Deputy Parliament President Wieland, Foreign Affairs Commission Chairman David McCallister, Euro-Deputes Lucas Mandl and Andrew Kovachev, as well as Foreign Relations Secretary at the EPP Patrick Voller.
Deputy Chairman Osmani has also held meetings at the EEAS (EU Foreign Service), where she was hosted by Secretary General Helga Schmidt and European Director for the EEAS Angelina Eichhorst.
At these meetings, Osmani has discussed the recent elections held in Kosovo, achieved and challenges during this process, as well as current discussions about the formation of the new government.
During the meetings, the topic of Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Kosovo's efforts to strengthen its international subjectivity, as well as reforms needed for integration processes for Kosovo.
It has reaffirmed that visa liberalisation has remained the EU's unfulfilled pledge towards Kosovo citizens, the LDK media communiqué says.
