The two-day event will gather hundreds of diaspora, foreign and Kosovo businesses in Pristina, where they will participate in B2B business meetings.
Successful co-operation between Kosovo's businesses, diaspora and foreign, presentations by Kosovo's elected municipalities about their potential economic plans, the business environment and other sources to promote business co-operation.
Also, field visits will be organised for diaspora and foreign businesses to Kosovo companies, where they will be able to testify closely to the production capacities of Kosovo companies.
Numerous sectors of the industry in Kosovo have significantly improved their production capacities, quality of products and are ready for export.
While some of the companies already export products produced by Kosovo, there is great potential for these exports to grow even more.
Most of the current exports are related to the diaspora, and it is more common for business opportunities to come through diaspora contacts in foreign markets than through marketing initiatives by companies themselves.
For the past two years, Albanian Diaspore Business Networks from Europe and the project USAID Empower Private Sector in partnership with AIDS, have organised conferences with the diaspora that have served as a platform for discussion, and have established links between diaspora and Kosovo businesses.
Both previous conferences have counted 542 B2B meetings between the 401 Diaspora businesses and 132 Kosovo businesses, resulting in signature of 12 contracts, 42 new initial agreements and offers, and new sales contracts worth 1.1m euros.
At the same time to stimulate further ties and increase Kosovo's exports, the Albanian Diaspore Business Networks from Europe co-operation with USAID Empower Private Sector in partnership with AIDS and the Minister of Diaspore and Strategic Investments of the Republic of Kosovo are organising this important event for the Kosovo economy.
