MDIS representatives meet with diaspora lawyers and lawyers networks

The Ministry of Diaspore and Strategic Investments, under the work plan for 2019, in co-operation with diplomatic missions, has held meetings with diaspora lawyers/avocates in Germany: Munich, Frankfurt and Berlin, as well as Switzerland: Geneva, Bern and Cyril. The purpose of these meetings was to promote the establishment of Albanian-German lawyers' associations, respectively.
The importance of organising the diaspora, in particular organising professionals, of diaspora lawyers and jurists in formal structures such as the association, has been discussed, through which a much easier opportunity for co-operation between them and Kosovo institutions. This form of organization would also allow for identification of the professionals of the respective fields, since it would have a common address.
Organising and founding of the Albanian-German Bar Association/ Switzerland has multiple importance for diaspora lawyers and lawyers. Through it, recognitions would be created that would result in closer co-operation among the Albanian community living in the diaspora. Also, this form of organisation would enable a partnership in co-operation with state institutions.
Attendees at these meetings pledged that, in co-ordination even with other lawyers and lawyers living and operating in Germany and Switzerland, they will take necessary action to establish Albanian-German lawyers' associations in Germany and Albanian-Syrland.
They also pledged that this process would be completed in 2020, so by then the parties involved would co-operate to identify lawyers and lawyers in the diaspora.
