The Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo, though it has been declared to have agreed for 90% of the governing programmes, are awaiting the confirmation of the 6 October election results to set the new government format. While votes from the CEC have not yet been recounted overall, representatives of the international community are earnestly seeking the formation of the new government, without causing delays. The chief of the EU Office in Pristina, Natalia Apostova, in an interview for media has stated that she expects the Government and the Assembly of Kosovo to be formed as soon as possible in order for Kosovo to focus on its reforms in all areas.
“The government and the Assembly must be formed according to internal procedures, but this process should not be delayed unnecessarily. We hope that the formation of the Government will happen soon, as Kosovo must focus on structural reforms in order to improve the lives of its people”. On the other hand, she has said the involvement of Serbian ministers should happen, since it is defined with the country's Constitution.
