Veton Surroi is the recently circulated name as new Foreign Affairs Minister at the Kurti Government, expected to be formed by the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League. Surroi had publicly supported the coalition between these two parties, and prior to the 6 October elections, had called for a vote or Mr. Albin Kurti or Mrs. Vjosa Osmani.

And, it seems, this support will be rewarded to the multimillion dollar Kosovo, writes Periscopi. Cited as a member of the Civil Society, he is seen as a good foreign policy connoisseur, even though in the columnists published at the Time portal, it is seen how superficial his attitudes are.

Surroi recently in one of his columns and attacked the European Union as corrupt and criminal, while calling for a new Yugoslavia. Kurt is denying the idea of Minnienne so far, but in fact this had not been ideally conceived by Surroi in the column mentioned.

It is also known as one of the major critics of the war and the sacrifice of the Kosovo Liberation Army. [ Footnote] KLA.

But Surroi's not as peaceful as part of the Civil Society. In fact, Veton Surroi was part of Kosovo's policy for several years straight by being a opponent of the LDK policy led by Ibrahim Rugova. With his party for three years he had been in opposition with Hashim Thaci's PDK.

In the 2004 elections, Surroi received a satisfactory result and reached 6,23 percent of the vote, or 43 thousand and 17 Sosh. He had thought that this number would double and triple to slowly become an important factor in Kosovo politics, but it did not.

But in the elections that followed November 17th 2007, Surroi was eventually expelled from the political scene, staying outside the threshold. At that time, he had lost nearly 20,000 votes by halving. This result had caused this political party to die off, and its members to move towards other political parties in Kosovo.
