This Friday, one such person published a photo accusing the Kelkos Energy company publicly of using 100% of rivers for producing energy with the Lambardi plant 2.
This is a very serious accusation. Considering the sensitivity of the subject, we've investigated the situation on the ground. Turns out this <x0 warnings” isn't real at all.
Investigationd facts indicate that Lumbardh 2 has not worked since April 15, 2019, following a temporary order from the Energy Regulatory Office. That fact was witnessed by official communication between KelCos and COST (photo 1). Document sent STT, clearly shows Austrian company has announced Koo STT in April for the energy produced by Hidro power plant Lumbardi 2. Unit figures show the value of 334,578k since April 15, 2019. The same value that is still present in the date number 2 November 2019 (see photo 2), which makes it clear that this hydro power plant has not produced energy since that date, which indicates that this plant has not been operational since then. This evidence proves that Lumbarde 2 was by no means functional even on the day that the picture was published by this person.
So here are the facts, which completely contradict the charges made.
The accuser picture, which was taken on November 1st, 2019, shows that the Austrian company has banned the entire flow of water to produce energy. In the background, this is not just a biased statement, it's a false statement.
We understand from our reliable sources that on the day this photograph was released, not only Lumbarde 2, but neither the Deqani and Bella hydropower plants were producing energy (such as since August Kelkos does not produce electricity during most of the time due to droughts, which affect Kosovo agriculture).
After the consultation we were confirmed by KelCos Company attorney, Mr. Arianian Koci, that KelCos company is considering all legal opportunities against persons or media who publish uncontested or false news aimed at damaging the company's image.
Of course, such biased and unverified news can have a major impact on the deterioration of the climate for foreign investment. It is difficult to understand why individuals designated not only try to further damage the country's image of foreign investors, but also to do so by example of green energy, which is the most needed type of healthy energy for the people of Kosovo, especially when facing the current energy situation.
