She was trying to tell how a five-dollar bank account, immersed in alcohol, doesn't burn. Everything went wrong, though.
Malachi McFadden, 16, suffered third degree burns in his face, neck, and body, and had to undergo several operations after his chemistry teacher, Bridgette Blowe, 36, did the experiment on burning the wet alcohol bill.
Witness statements say that the school staff had intervened to quench the flames in the boy's body.
The experiment conducted by the teacher is very popular on the Internet, but in some cases it appears that it is not right.
The school leadership said the teacher has been suspended on payment, but that no further disciplinary measures have been taken against her.
However, the boy's lawyer warned that they will seek compensation for the pain and suffering of students and for hospital expenses, including plastic surgery expenses, writes “Daily Mail”.
