How much sleep do children need at a certain time of development? How can you set limits and adopt sleep rules? How can parents strengthen their child's sleep rate?

Sleep is the primary activity of the brain during its early development. The pace of waking and sleeping is adjusted by the pace of day and night, and it takes some time for both of them to harmonise.

This begins to happen after about six weeks of birth, and cycles are even determined after an average of three to six months. Until the second year, most children spend more time sleeping than in a wake - up state, and according to some studies, 40 percent of their children spend sleeping.

Sleep is especially important for children, since it directly affects their mental and physical development. Consider two types of sleep:

The non-reM stage or passive sleep during which the blood supply of muscles has increased, energy is stored, tissue is restored and increased, hormones for growth and development are secreted.

REM, or active sleep, during which the brain is active and then we dream. Our body is still breathing and our pulse is irregular.

Babies spend 50 percent of their time in each of these stages, alternateing approximately every 50 minutes. On average, at six months' age, the REM takes about 30 percent of sleep. When a child reaches preschool age, the stages alternate approximately every 90 minutes.

In newborns, waking and sleep cycles are accompanied by a feeling of hunger, a need for clothing, and attention. In total, they sleep from 10.5 to 18 hours a day, at irregular intervals with wake-up periods from one to three hours.

Preschool children usually sleep between 11 and 13 hours at night. After the fifth year, most stop sleeping during the day. As their imagination develops, night nightmares are common, and some begin to dream.

Sleep periods can last from several minutes to several hours. During sleep, they are often active, lying down, moving their arms and legs, laughing, sucking, and generally anxious.

After a full six months, night feeding is no longer necessary, and many children sleep all night long. At 70 to 80 percent of children, this will happen at nine months' age, the Kosovo Press broadcasts.

As with newborns, it would be a good idea at this age to put your children in bed when you notice that they are sleepy and tired but still awake. Keep the same sleep every day, and the room where the child sleeps must be quiet, dark so that the baby's sleep will not be interrupted.

Children of this age need 12 to 14 hours of sleep each day. Sleep “from day” now lasts continuously from one to three hours. Be careful not to sleep late in the afternoon, since this may delay the right time to sleep at night, since the child is not tired and sleep enough at night.

Makats are common at this age. You need to keep a bedtime schedule and let your child sleep at the same place all the time.

During this period, children often have a certain safety object, such as a blanket or a toy filled to sleep. Don't hesitate to let them hold.

What should you do, as parents, for a preschool child to sleep well:

Keep a proper and stable bedtime; Incubate some relaxing sleeping routines in the bedroom where the child sleeps (reading a story, singing, listening to music, etc). Make sure your child sleeps every day at the same place, which is quiet, quiet, dark and free of television and computers. Finally, it is necessary to emphasize that each child is unique, different, and special. As with everything else, these differences have been observed in sleeping habits.

There's no safe recipe to raise a well-sleeping child. The only solution is to try to learn from an early age, healthy sleep habits that can extend life.

" Sleep and rest when your child sleeps (both day and night).

Turn off your phone.

Push off obligations you don't have to fulfill immediately.

Spend some time with yourself and go for a walk, call a friend, shop, for if you are not well, neither will your child be well.

To help your child develop a nighttime sleep habit, you need to devote yourself more during the day and keep it active, and as night approaches, the atmosphere around the child must be all calm
