Former BBC reporter dies

Ahmad, who worked as foreign correspondents in Britain and the United States, passed away on Wednesday evening.

Ahmad was among Asia's first Muslim women to rise to the top of British journalism, and he also won numerous awards for her work.

In a statement announcing her death, Ahmed's brothers said: “We are extremely proud of what she accomplished, both mother, journalist and writer.
