Their demands are rising wages and implementation of the labour Law, collective agreement, etc.
They require better working conditions and salaries no less than 350 euros.
Independent Union Chairman in the private sector Yusuf Azemi said that today in Pristina and Gjilan workers protest.
“Mbi 1,000 workers in Kosovo's two municipalities will protest due to poor conditions”, he said in an interview for RTK.
According to him, workers in Kosovo do not have good working conditions, they are violated even the basic right to pension, as they are not paid.
Azem suggested that the labour law is not being implemented.
Why is the labour law not being implemented in the private sector alone, there are many businesses today taking advantage of private sector”, he confirmed.
“Today and tomorrow they protest the technical workers of the Student Centre, technical workers of several schools managed by the Pristina Community, technical workers of the University of Pristina, physical insurance workers of the UPP and QMF, technical workers of several schools in Gjilan. The strike starts from 10:00 and is held until 11: 00 p.m., where workers will stop their work as a sign of dissatisfaction with their low wages”, he said.
Azemi suggested that the Pristina municipality has moved in this direction.
“Paga is required to be 350 euros and we will take other measures”, he said.
