Police have stopped the truck during a routine check near Xanti City.
Last month, an incident happened in London, and today eight others were arrested in Vietnam in connection with the case.
News of their arrest revealed Vietnamese state media.
“Based on what we've learned from suspected persons, we will actively conduct investigations to fight these networks that illegally send people to Britain”, said police commander Nguen Huu Cau.
The best thing we can do right now is to deal with the consequences of the incident and help the victims' families get the bodies of their most loved ones”, he added.
This serious case has highlighted the phenomenon of sending poor people from Asia and Africa to Western states through dangerous means of transport.
The Vietnam government announced that a delegation of diplomats and police officials in this country have headed towards Britain to meet with their counterparts and to co-operate in investigating the death of 39 Vietnam citizens in the truck driving by a North Ireland driver, writes “Reuters”.
