She has cited Kosovo's bitter past, saying that Kosovo's young people with their success are writing Kosovo's new history.

Citaku has cited the successes of Kosovo girls in knee and national successes in football.

Furthermore, it has indicated that Kosovo's young are its heroes, hope for the future of the country.

This is Chitak's full speech:

My presence here today is not a sign of crisis but of confidence. As long shadows of war continue to follow, we today meet in an atmosphere of increased hope. On 6 October, Kosovo successfully organised the 4th parliamentary elections since its declaration of independence.

These choices were not unique to their origin. In fact, they were unique in many ways. For the first time in history, a new generation of citizens, children born in freedom and grew up in an independent country, Kosovars who did not know about war, had a chance to cast their vote and elect their future representatives.

20 years ago, Kosovars 18 were refugees, subject to the most brutal campaigns of ethnic cleansing. Today, 18-year-old Kosovars are proud citizens of Kosovo and agents of change.

In our lives we have had to deal with major crisis moments. Our lives are marked by debate on monumental issues, issues of war and peace, issues of prosperity and depression. But as we talk about the past today, young Kosovars are writing the future.

They have no time for meaningless debates. They're there, working hard, often against your chances, challenging the status quo. Kosovar children are growing up with young heroes.

Heroes like Majlinda Kelmendi, who has raised our flag to the highest pedestal and continues to bring home endless gold medals. Because of Majlinda, Nora and Distria, the expression “fights as a girl” has gained different meaning in Kosovo.

We are pleased with the international success of our fantastic football team. Imagine, 20 years ago, English soldiers came to Kosovo, just as saints marched to free our country. This November, we are again awaiting the English, this time for a football match and we hope to win in European qualifications.

We are motivated and determined by the expectations of our youth.

Last week, Open Data Kosova published a report showing that the number of IT companies in Kosovo has increased by no less than 187 per cent over the past 10 years. This should not surprise you, given the quality of the workforce, young people with high skills who are eager to learn and be competitive on the global market.

We're obsessed with the anger of our free media. Just days ago, three Kosovo journalists -- all women -- were rewarded by the EU for investigative journalism and their work in exposing and fighting corruption and crime.

We are inspired by Fahriye Hoti and Krustta's brave women, who used the restorative power of freedom to turn disaster into hope and strength. After so many losses, these women rebuilt an entire village from the ashes of war. When faced with tragedy, resistance was their only answer.

These are the new heroes of our new Republic. They represent the best of us. They will break the cycle of fragility and violence. They will write the next chapter of our history. As a credit to them, I am full of hope for the future of my country.

Thank you very much.
