Vetevendosje denies being conditioned by LDK, they say s'will fall prey to them

The Vetevendosje movement has denied speculation that the Democratic League of Kosovo has demanded seven ministries in the future ruling coalition, while stressing that they will never fall prey to the conditions in the negotiations between them, as according to them if there are unacceptable requirements, the country must go back to the polls. Vetevendosje Movement Headship member Albulen Haxhiu in an interview for KosovaPress, says that despite the fact that they have appointed working groups to negotiate with the LDK, such meetings have not yet taken place.
Haxhiu: We do not fall prey to conditions in negotiations with LDK
It's not what's on some portals today. So there are speculations about the fact that right after that meeting we've held the chairmanship meeting, where the chairman and the vice president have informed us of how the meeting went. There was no request from the LDK for any specific number of ministries ... there was no other requirement or conditioning. I believe this will meet discussions of the working group and the mayors. I believe as far as the prime minister's mandate is concerned, the citizen has decided and this does not come into question. So our candidate will be Albin Kurti, because that's how the sovereign has demanded. As for the ministries, it would be good to share equally. So the Vetevendosje Movement, I cannot prejudge what will happen next, but we do not fall prey to any condition in these negotiations... VV won't mind if the country goes to the elections again, if there are requirements the VV cannot accept is the other option”, Haxhiu claims.
For the former deputet Haxhiu, it is very important that negotiations with the LDK begin as soon as they start forming the new government.
Haxhiu: There was no meeting. V V-LDK in terms of working groups
“despite the fact that we have appointed working groups, the people who will deal with the governing programme, because the main responsibility of these groups will be harmonisation of the programme. There hasn't been any meeting with these working groups to discuss these issues. It is extremely important for Vetevendosje to gather as soon as possible. According to the information we have as a political subject, this has not been possible for objective reasons of the LDK political representatives, and we believe that very soon these reasons will cease, and these working groups” will start meetings, Haxhiu said.
For dialogue with Serbia, Hadziu reiterated that reviewing the agreements so far with Serbia and talking with Serbs living in Kosovo is necessary.
On the other hand, it expresses determination that the Serbian List will not be part of the upcoming ruling coalition at the helm with Albin Kurti.
Haxhiu: No co-operation with subjects that do not recognise the Republic of Kosovo
I have no dilemma that the Serb List today is against the Republic of Kosovo, which the Serbian List works against the interests of Kosovo that it does not recognise, has no dilemma and no doubt about it. Our government cannot have any co-operation with such subjects that do not recognise the Republic of Kosovo and that fight it”, Haxhiu said.
In the 6 October elections, according to the winning CEC's preliminary results, the Vetevendosje Movement has emerged, with the LDK having a slight margin of votes.
