In downtown Pristina, a tunnel and a new square are expected to be added. The municipality led by Shpend Ahmeti has seen to build this project on “Agim Ramadani”, while extending from the Student Mensa to the neighborhood “Vellusa”.
2m euros have been earmarked by the Pristina Community for the newest infrastructure project in downtown Pristina. In the 2020 budget, which has been approved by Pristina's Municipal Assembly, construction of a 300m tunnel on the “Agim Ramadani” road has been preceded.
This tunnel is expected to be built from the Students' Mensa to the Pristina old municipality's object and then to the neighborhood “Vulesa”. According to municipal officials, the tunnel will be built to connect Rugova” Square with the old part of the city, Zeri writes.
The director of Capital Investments in the Pristina municipality, Gezim Mehmeti, days ago has declared for media that the idea for building this tunnel has been cast for a long time. He has voiced optimism that this project will start implementing by next year.
