The news has been made known by CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi, who has said that the assessment of these ballots is necessary because it aims to identify a ballot with the person who sent the package.
“We have started with the review and assessment of the supposed envelopes with ballotes coming from Serbia. Such appreciation is essential because it is designed to identify a ballot with the person who sent the package. So let's know if the submitted ballot is from a successful registered voter abroad. Once this assessment is done, we will know exactly what the number of approved or refused ballot papers is. Only the approved ballotes are counted”, he said.
Elez has indicated that in terms of the process of weighing envelopes coming from Serbia are in touch and co-operation with other institutions, including the Kosovo Police.
