Police: Roads in Tirana treated as racetrack

Given the risk of characterizing the capital over the weekend, due to the direction of the post-aligned vehicle, speeding up on allowed rates, or even in the equally dangerous violations of vehicle management and others, Tirana Road Police, in collaboration with the Highway Safety Operations Unit, has organized combined patrols using all special equipment, and with human resources added in number, with the aim of preventing accidents and verifying the proceedings that are a source of road events with consequences for life and road users.
“In the function of preventative checks, up to this moment, have been recorded and arrested under terms of 4 vehicle executives, from which 3 for the drunk-asserted vehicle and 1 for the evacuation of punishment suffering.
“23 command permits have been suspended, out of which 15 for speed on allowed norms and 8 for direction the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. An administratively 13 drivers of tools for non-speed disorder in residential centres and speed racing have been prosecuted. During combined patrols and police actions, 24 different vehicles and 34 persons” are physically checked for illegal items, police reports reported.
Police explain that radar and driver controls result in many drivers and motor vehicles treating the road as a runway. /Kosovo pres/
