The Mystery of Coalition V V- LDK: VLAN was founded just two days after the 2014 elections

The June 8, 2014, elections were quite dramatic and shaped the political terrain in Kosovo for decades to follow. Periscope draws a comparison to illustrate more of the current circumstances in which the LVV and LDK are located. After the PDK's secession of the Initiative for Kosovo, opinion and analysts believed the party led by Hashim Thaci would lose in the June 8th snap elections in Kosovo.

But the opposite happened. The PDK won a deep margin against the LDK, of more than 5 per cent of the vote. The PDK received 222 thousand of 181 votes [or 30,38%], while the LDK won 184 thousand and 594 votes [or 25.24 per cent].

However, what would follow would be even more dramatic and would define the democratic race within our country forever.

On the morning of June 10th, or just two days after early elections, a wide post-election coalition was established among all Albanian parties that had secured presence in the Kosovo Assembly. This coalition would be called V LAN [Vetvendosje, LDK, AAK, Initiative] cutting off the PDK sympathis party at the time.

The four different political parties at the time took only two days to connect the coalition, with Ramush Haradinaj putting forward to be the country's prime minister, Periscopi writes. But, LVV and LDK, even after 22 days, appear to be far from forming the new government, which, moreover, has the prime minister's position and has work resolved.

Analyst Faton Abdullahu said these two parties were extending the coalition connection process due to dialogue with Serbia, which the US has requested speed in actions.

However, the coalition V The LAN had failed after the Constitutional Court's ruling, which gave the first party the possibility of proposing the Parliament Speaker and gave the president the disrepute to propose the mandate for forming the New Government. /Periscope
