Following the decision not to set the date for opening negotiations with the EU, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev has announced he will propose that the country go to early parliamentary elections. Among other things, he said reforms in the country should continue and that the country must continue with the implementation of agreements, and especially with Greece.

This is a European decision and their internal problems. We are responsible and this requires us to make a serious decision, every politician should be responsible, responsible to the citizens. Macedonia's European dream will not fail. For this responsibility, we organise early parliamentary elections, this will also be my proposal to gather leaders” -- Zaev said, among other things.
DUI leader Ali Ahemti also said his party is ready for early elections. The elections he sees as the best solution to developments after failing to get the date for launching talks. Ahmeti reiterated his demand for self-being in all structures once again.
