It has reached 11 the number of people who have been admitted to the Infectious Clinic of the University Clinical Centre, having been in touch with envelopes, coming from Serbia.

The condition of patients, according to doctors at the Infectious Clinic, is stable.

Because of the lack of results, it is not yet known how it came to represent allergies.

Therefore, authorities in Pristina have warned that samples of these envelopes will be investigated by local and international experts to prove what it is about.

The task of director of this clinic, Linda Ayzaj-Berisha, told Radio Free Europe that the state of patients is good and that they are becoming necessary tests to understand the cause of the display of allergic reaction.

The patient status is currently stable. We have 11 patients in our clinic. One last night, nine women and two men were admitted. All samples taken and expected results. Nothing we can say is detailed without results from the” analysis, Ajazaj-Berisha said.

On the other hand, the State Prosecutor and the Kosovo Police are conducting the necessary examinations to find out the details of how the case happened.

Ekrem Lutfiu, the State Prosecutor's spokesman, told Radio Free Europe that for the continuation of further work, the results of toxicological analysis are also waiting.

“Once we have accepted the information, the state prosecutor has gone to the scene to take all necessary actions, investigations. And for the rest of us, we can't give any more information right now. Once we get the results of [responsive] tests, then I believe the prosecution will be able to declare itself in this case”, Lutfiu said.

Kosovo police have not provided any additional information regarding the ongoing investigations, until the Central Election Commission, they say they are waiting for competent authorities to come up with their conclusions regarding the case, so that later the CEC will continue normal work.

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has met today with CEC Chairman Valdete Daka, Chief of State Alexander Lumez and AKI Director Shpend Maxhuni, who have informed him of the results of the investigation about reports of poisoning of CEC workers who had contact with envelopes coming from outside Kosovo at the voters' object of service, where the diaspora votes were placed.

“Requesting state institutions to professionally investigate the entire case and to take all necessary steps to white out allegations of poisoning CEC personnel”, President Thaci has said.

Representatives of state institutions announced that an examination of envelope samples taken at the Voters' Service is expected to be completed. The extraditions, according to them, will take place together with international experts.

On Sunday, 11 people sought medical assistance, as while verifying voter envelopes coming from Serbia, in their hands and faces, signs of a kind of allergies appeared.
