He says countries in the region should co-operate for the sole purpose, full membership in the European Union.
Regional initiatives are certainly necessary, but absolutely cannot replace European integration. We cannot say that we are not being integrated into the EU, and we're doing something between ourselves right here --”, Albin Kurti said.
It deems it an act of responsibility to go to early elections in northern Macedonia, but says that now from the positions of the future prime minister of Kosovo, I don't know whether to support any Albanian political subject opened during the campaign. “I cannot say today that we will support this or that subject”, Kurti said.
Albin Kurti expects to visit Macedonia, have closer relations with Albania, but to fully stabilise the region, says Serbia must comply with reality, that Kosovo is an independent state.
“Normising relations between Kosovo and Serbia passes through Serbia's normalisation as such. In Kosovo genocide has been attempted, 860 thousand Albanians have been deported outside Kosovo in the spring of 1999. Over a million of their homes, we have 20,000 girls and women raped, alive all of them”, Kurti noted.
Albin Kurti said the new government will have 12 ministries with LDK and expects it to officially assume the post of prime minister in November.
